Locum Band 6/7 Podiatrist (MSK Foot & Ankle) | Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire

Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA) is recruiting an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Podiatrist to join an NHS MSK Foot & Ankle Team on a locum basis.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4-6 months
Working Pattern: 3 days per week
Location: Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire (locations may vary throughout the working week)

The Role

You will work within a specialist Musculoskeletal Foot & Ankle Service, assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients presenting with a wide range of lower limb and foot/ankle conditions.

The successful candidate will provide evidence-based assessment and treatment plans, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. You will work closely with physiotherapists, orthopaedic consultants, GPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • HCPC-registered Podiatrist

  • Previous experience working as a Band 6 or Band 7 Podiatrist

  • Experience within MSK Foot & Ankle services

  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills

  • Experience managing a varied musculoskeletal caseload including foot and ankle pathologies

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organisational skills

  • Experience of multidisciplinary team working

  • Knowledge of clinical governance, evidence-based practice, and risk management

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the multi-site nature of the role

  • Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment
