Locum Band 6/7 Paediatric Neuro Occupational Therapist in Surrey

 

Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA) is recruiting an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Paediatric Neuro Occupational Therapist to join a specialist service in Surrey on a locum basis.

 

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Initial 6-week contract
Location: Surrey
Working Pattern: Full Time

 

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in Paediatric Neurology and Brain Injury Rehabilitation to support children and young people with complex neurological needs.

You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and supporting children with a range of neurological conditions, helping them maximise independence, function, and participation in daily activities. The role will involve working closely with families, carers, educational settings, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

 

Requirements

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist

  • Previous experience working at Band 6 or Band 7 level

  • Significant experience within Paediatric Occupational Therapy

  • Experience working with children and young people with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries

  • Strong experience in Upper Limb Assessment, Management, and Rehabilitation

  • Experience assessing and managing cognition and functional abilities

  • Competent in the use of hoisting and moving & handling equipment

  • Experience writing detailed clinical reports and recommendations

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)

  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation skills

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and documentation skills

  • Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment
