Locum Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Technologist / HCPC Registered Radiographer Dundee 

Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA) is recruiting an experienced Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Technologist or HCPC Registered Radiographer to join the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Service for a role in Dundee on a locum basis.

 

Start Date: 1st October 2026
Duration: 3 Months
Location: NHS Hospital in Dundee
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:00pm

 

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well-established NHS Nuclear Medicine department, supporting the delivery of a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine service.

The successful candidate will work primarily within the Nuclear Medicine Department, with the possibility of rotating into the PET/CT Service within the Clinical Research Centre if appropriately qualified and experienced.

 

You will play a key role in supporting a wide range of Nuclear Medicine examinations and treatments, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and Laboratory colleagues to provide high-quality patient care.

 

The department operates three SPECT/CT gamma cameras and delivers a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

 

Requirements

  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist or HCPC-Registered Radiographer

  • Previous experience working within Nuclear Medicine

  • Competent in the delivery of Nuclear Medicine imaging services

  • Experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures independently

  • Knowledge of radiation safety, imaging protocols, and patient care standards

  • Experience working with SPECT/CT imaging is desirable

  • PET/CT experience would be advantageous but is not essential

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong documentation and patient care skills

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment

 

Mandatory Experience

⚠️ Applicants must have previous experience working within a Nuclear Medicine service and be competent in delivering Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures. Applications without Nuclear Medicine experience will not be considered.
